Back in 1984, Alex Beltrani's parents owned a small restaurant. They knew their guests' opinions mattered—it was their north star. But every night, they'd stay up late sifting through paper comment cards and wrestling with Excel spreadsheets, trying to make sense of the scattered feedback.
"My parents understood guest input was critical to their success. They relied on paper comment cards, but I thought to myself—there had to be a better way."
Just as the digital world was taking off, Alex saw firsthand how powerful guest feedback could be, and how broken the systems were to capture it. When he started Tattle in 2011, he was determined to build what his parents never had: a way to easily understand what guests think and act on it.
